My name is Koen.  I am just an ordinary person but I serve the Living and Marvelous God who is working in me and changing me to reveal His character.  Unfortunately I am a slow and often stubborn learner, but I am thankful that patience is one of His great attributes!  I am married to my high school sweetheart Mike.  It was 24 years in February 2010.  He has been an amazing reflection to me of the unconditional, steadfast love of Christ.  I have 7 children that I love immensely.  I do school them at home.  They range in age from 20-4.  In them I see God’s incredible variety and creativity, to make each one have similarities yet be so different.  They are all a blessing and each add something unique to our family.  I am humbled by this gift, challenged daily in it and have the benefit of recieving so much joy from it.

There are many things I enjoy, but not much i have time for! ha  Writing has always been a form of release and expression for me.  Through the years it has developed and this season in my life is what I, not only enjoy, but can do without too much limits on my time and budget! I have been able to have a few things published and that has been fun. I love anything we can do as a family, music, reading, and animals.  I am not good at plants and gardening but developing that interest.

If I had one piece of advice for any christian- hmmmm, off the top of my head, it would be to not stress on the things that arent of eternal value, embrace where God has you and seek to learn what He has for you in this time, and live extending His grace to all those who cross your path.
